Samian Wine

Sweet wines

SAMOS NECTAR
(VIN NATURELLEMENT DOUX)

Sweet wine that is made from over-ripe muscat grapes which are exposed to the sun for several days. It is aged in oaken barrels for three years.
“Nectar” is a compound noun composed of the words “nekis” and “tar” and is the root of the “iapetic” word “tiro”: "that which beats death". The wine of the gods in Greek Mythology.

SAMOS VIN DOUX

It is the wine which has been on the market more than a century making Samos famous all over the world. It preserves its primary aroma of the muscat, while at the same time there is freshness in its taste. The name of the island SAMOS comes from Sami, which is king Angeus’ place of origin. It is a word of -hoenician origin (sama) which means "high place".

SAMOS ANTHEMIS

The five years aging of VIN DOUX in oak barrels, is what makes this wine an exquisite one. "Anthemis" , is how Samos was called in the ancient years because of the luxuriance of self sown blossoms.

HOLY COMMUNION WINE

This wine is aged in a special way and is produced with the blessings of the HOLY METROPOLIS OF SAMOS & IKARIA.
This certificates the tradition, which has existed since the mid-nineteenth century, according to which the Muscat wine of Samos is just like the Holy Communion wine

GRAND GRU

It is produced from over-ripe grapes grown in selective vineyards with low efficiency of decares of land and high quality potential. It is less sweet than VIN DOUX with strong freshness and aromatic opulence.
