The monastery of Panagia Vronda (Greek Παναγία Βροντά = Virgin peal) or Vrodiani or “Kokkariani”, was founded in 1566 by the monks Iakovos and Makarios which was seeking to find a quiet place for their spiritual uplift.
located north of the village in front of cafés, bar and restaurants row, that cover almost the entire length. Beautiful beach with many facilities, but with enough wave and air that adore the friends of windsurfing frequenting here. At the next beach there and windsurfing school.
It’s one of the most famous beaches of Samos. The great length and width of the beach (with many access points), making it comfortable and quiet, with choice of one of the many bustling beach bar or isolate yourself with your own umbrella. The water is crystal clear, with some wind days (mostly direction from the land to the sea), during the summer period.
it is paved with white and colorful, medium-sized pebbles and crystal clear waters. The sea is calm, since enclosed by bay which that protects the beach. To avoid the crowds and be more comfortable you can go to the western part of the beach, or to go at a small individual beaches after the main beach.
