he monastery of “Megali Panagia” (Greek Μεγάλη Παναγιά = Great Virgin Mary) or “pende ospition” (=five houses) founded in 1586 by the monks Nilus and Dionysos, who had become a monks in mount “Latros” near ancient Miletus in middle east.
it’s a BLUE FLAG beach, mostly with sand and partly pebbles next to Samos airport. The part of the beach which has blue flag is about 250 m and is in front of a large resort. The beach it is organized and in other parts of, such as the east, but there are also blank sections (not organized), if you are interested for something like this.
The village is oriented to the north, on a slope with 40% grade and this giving the impression of a balcony over the Aegean Sea, with excellent view from east to the west and reaches till Chios island and Asia Minor coast.
