it is one of the largest and most popular organised beaches of the island, with medium size pebbles and crystal clear waters. The great length of the beach gives you the opportunity to choose whether to sit at the sun beds and umbrellas, by choosing among the many beach bar, or to isolate at the east or west of the beach, to be more natural away from the crowds. The beach is organized, mostly at the middle, where “comes” the road from the town of Samos and Pythagoreion.
It’s comfortable and quiet beach without waves. Half of the beach is organized with sun beds and umbrellas for rent of the beach bars, while the other half retains its natural character. The name Kukunara, comes from the nickname of a fisherman who used to cast his net around this beach, at the period of 40s 60s.
It is a picturesque, quiet, organized beach, with sand and partly small pebble. Worth seeing the small cave at the south, with the turquoise color of the sea. To get there, you have to cross a dirt road for 800 m and walk for 250 m. It features a canteen for snacks, coffee beverages.
